After experiencing the profound impact running had on her own mental health, Deadly Runners has grown from a small local initiative into a national movement transforming health, confidence, and connection in communities through the power of running.
A 2025 Westpac Social Change Fellow, 2023 Snow Foundation Entrepreneurial Fellow, and 2024 National NAIDOC Person of the Year finalist, Georgia is widely recognised for her leadership, advocacy, and deep commitment to community-led change.
Georgia is the newly appointed Head Coach of the TCS Sydney Marathon, an Abbott World Marathon Major, becoming the first First Nations woman globally to hold a Head Coach role for a World Marathon Major.
Georgia’s leadership has empowered hundreds of First Nations people to start running, complete marathons, become qualified coaches and embrace healthier lives from regional communities to world stages like the Chicago and New York Marathons. Georgia’s story is a powerful example of community self-determination. Her unwavering belief in the strength and potential of her people continues to inspire others to rise, run, and reclaim wellness on their own terms.
