Every day, children all over the world undergo medical procedures. At Red Blood Comic, we transform complex medical information into engaging, easy-to-understand comics and visual fact sheets for kids and parents. With our unique storytelling approach, we help families navigate health topics with clarity and confidence. Created with kids in mind, our works are designed to be kids-friendly, fun to read, easily understandable and interesting.

Red Blood Comic was created by Gita Rahardjo as she noticed that there was lack of medical knowledge in the general public. As a mother and a medical scientist, she also noticed that there was very little medical resources out there that was created with kids in mind. Most of them were rather too technical, wordy, making it hard to understand, and often boring to read.

Red Blood Comic was born as part of Gita's Science Communication degree assignment with The Australian National University . What started as an idea became comics, and following ON Prime program with CSIRO , it became a business venture. RED , our first character, a red blood cell then was chosen to become our mascot.

Aimed to create fun, accurate, applicable, yet easy to read materials to help kids and families better understand what is happening inside their body, Red Blood Comic is created with big ambitions (as we would love to cover a huge range of medical situations as much as we can) and a big heart at its core.

In this crowdfunding, we work closely with The SpineCare Foundation and fundraising for our partnership projects.
