👷 Let’s Build a Circular Parramatta (and Keep Resources Out of Landfill!) 👷
Parramatta is growing fast - new buildings, renovations and
fitouts happen every day. But with this growth comes a massive amount
of waste. Perfectly good furniture, fixtures, fittings and materials
are being thrown into landfill.
At the same time, there are amazing local suppliers, charities, recyclers, repairers and marketplaces working to keep resources in use… but most people don’t know they exist or how to access them.
The solutions are already here - people just can’t find them! 😧
❤️ With your support, we plan to connect those local organisations who have furniture, fixtures, fittings and materials they don't need, with those organisations who do need these items, and/or who support local people in need.❤️
What We Plan To Do:
For each $220 contributed, FTD Circular by Forward Thinking Design; a Western Sydney-based social enterprise - will identify and screen one Parramatta LGA based circular economy participating organisation (suppliers, service providers, repairers, charities, material exchanges and recyclers) for listing onto our public directory - www.circularsupply.au - so that they can be found and engaged with. This Directory champions local heroes 🦸, creates jobs, puts money in local pockets 💰️, saves waste management costs, supports people in need and eradicates waste to landfill ♻️ - by linking supply and demand through circularity.❤️
How You Can Contribute:
If you want to help local charities to fitout their op shops and community facilities with perfectly good materials saved from going to landfill, support local business to save money and act responsibly, and/or provide the opportunity for marginalised youth to learn skills and gain employment in furniture repair, then this is the crowdfunding campaign that you need to support!❤️😀
What Else We Plan To Do:
⭐️ As a bonus ⭐️- not only will we create the listings that enable these linkages, we'll also publish a report to reveal any gaps and opportunities for Parramatta Council, and community, to further grow a thriving circular economy together.🤩

In City of Sydney, City of Casey (VIC) and in projects with Stockland, Mission Australia, Super Retail Group, Mainbrace Constructions (and others) - where circularsupply.au has been used to create linkages - up to 100% of all furnishings, fixtures and fittings from de-fit and/or renovation have been diverted from landfill - saving hundreds of thousands of dollars in new purchasing and in waste management costs, saving thousands of tonnes of embodied carbon and waste pollution and yielding hundreds of thousands of dollars in social impact value through furniture and material donation, and repair/refurbishment job creation.

What Is The Aim of http://circularsupply.au:
The aim of http://circularsupply.au is not to compete with or replace existing marketplaces or distribution charities; but rather to identify, qualify as legitimate and promote these built environment circular economy champions all in one place. By providing search functionality - circularsupply.au - aims to solve the challenge experienced by those looking to procure circular/sustainable products and/or to divert their own items from landfill (saving $$$ and waste) in struggling to find the right supplier for what they need, or the right marketplace, reseller, repairer, charity or recycler for the items they wish to dispose of. At the same time, http://circularsupply.au promotes and enables charities, social enterprises and circular-forward businesses to receive the engagement and resources they so desperately need in order to trade and/or support the disadvantaged within our communities.
Why Built Environment:
Construction, demolition and furnishing are amongst the leading sectors, in the production of waste and pollution, both globally and locally within Australia. The Greater Sydney Metropolitan Region is running out of space for landfill and during our 23 years in fitout design, forwardthinkingdesign.com.au has witnessed the built environment sector's culpability, in this crisis, first hand. At the same time, we've also seen the vast costs of waste management to business and community, whilst also witnessing charities and innovators crying out for the very same resources that are being sent to recycling (at best) and landfill (at worst). We couldn't stand to sit by and watch any longer, and that's how http://circularsupply.au was born.

Anyone can search http://circularsupply.au for free to find the charities, social enterprises and circular-forward businesses (such as sustainable furnishing and material suppliers, reuse marketplaces, resellers, repairers, charities or recyclers) that have been identified, and screened against our eligibility criteria, to ensure that they are verified leaders in circular economy in their built environment product/service stream/s.
What Is The Already Proven Benefit of http://circularsupply.au:
